[f. Gr. διανοµή distribution: so called as having nodes of determinate distribution.]
A surface, generally a quartic surface, having all its nodes, if in excess of the number which can be arbitrarily assumed, situated on a surface, called dianodal, which is determined by the arbitrary points.
